Note: For the gunnies on the list, didn't see any of this in the
gringo media, but more relevant of how the local Mexican media keeps
track of what our folks are doing. Even with their own set of
biases ? they generally do a much better job overall than their U.S.

Three officers who work for the Tucson Sector Border Patrol,
including one assigned to the Nogales Station, received the highest
scores for a regional tournament held shooting a couple of weeks ago
in the state capital.
The Shooting Practice Association of the United States, made a
couple of weeks ago in Phoenix, Arizona, Competition Desert Classic
Arms, during which involved five shooting team's Tucson Sector Border
Patrol.
Of the five people in southern Arizona, including the Douglas
Station, Tucson, Naco, Nogales and Willcox, at least three managed to
get some of the highest scores of the competition.
During these activities, participants will demonstrate their ability
to handle firearms, highlighting the speed and accuracy in their
shots run through a circuit previously established by the organizers
of the event.
Among the agents who obtained the highest scores are the Tucson
Station official, Eric France, who won first place in the Master
class, while Brian Manges agent assigned to the Nogales Station, won
third place in class A, and Officer Adam Calderon, Willcox Station,
reached sixth place in class B.
Federal authorities reported that the circuit includes steel and
paper targets for shooting from various positions, and changes of
magazines and handling weapons safely.

Tres agentes que laboran para el Sector Tucson de la Patrulla
Fronteriza, entre ellos uno asignado a la Estación Nogales,
recibieron las puntuaciones más altas durante un torneo regional de
tiro celebrado hace un par de semanas en la capital del estado. La
Asociación de Práctica de Tiro de los Estados Unidos, realizó hace un
par de semana en Phoenix, Arizona, la Competencia de Clásica de Armas
del Desierto, durante la cual participaron cinco integrantes del
equipo de tiro del Sector Tucson de la Border Patrol.
De los cinco participantes del sur de Arizona, entre ellos de las
Estaciones Douglas, Tucson, Naco, Nogales y Willcox, por lo menos
tres lograron obtener algunos de los puntajes más altos de la
competencia.
Durante este tipo de actividades, los participantes demuestran sus
habilidades para el manejo de armas de fuego, destacando la velocidad
y precisión a la hora de ejecutar sus disparos a través de un
circuito previamente establecido por los organizadores del evento.
Entre los agentes que obtuvieron las mayores puntuaciones se
encuentran el oficial de la Estación Tucson, Eric France, quien
obtuvo el primer lugar en la clase Master, mientras que el agente
Brian Manges, asignado a la Estación Nogales, obtuvo el tercer lugar
de la clase A, y el oficial Adam Calderón, de la Estación Willcox,
alcanzó el sexto lugar de la clase B.
Las autoridades federales informaron que el circuito incluye blancos
de acero y papel para realizar disparos desde varias posiciones,
además de cambios de magazines y el manejo de las armas de forma segura.
