SIERRA VISTA — More than half of the guns stolen from a local
business have been recovered and one person has been arrested after
authorities served a search warrant at a Sierra Vista residence

Wednesday.
At 12:30 p.m. Thursday, the Cochise County Sheriff's Office announced
the arrest of Kurt Zinke, 40, on burglary charges in connection with
the theft of dozens of guns from the Mountain Trading Post.

SIERRA VISTA — Three additional arrests have been made in connection
with the theft of dozens of guns from a Sierra Vista Business on New
Year's Day.

At about 12:30 p.m., the Cochise County Sheriff's Office announced
the arrests of George Ysidro Sperle, 44, of Sierra Vista, on charges
of burglary, theft, possession of stolen property and conspiracy,
Jeremy Eric Valenzuela, 25, of Sierra Vista, on charges of theft and
trafficking in stolen property and Blake Martinez, 19, of Tombstone,
on charges of possession of burglary tools, theft and possession of
stolen property.

Valenzuela was also held on four warrants for failure to appear.

Another man, Michael Lloyd Sprott, 30, is being sought by the
sheriff's office. Sprott has a previous address in Sierra Vista,
though investigators have received information that he may be in the
Tucson area, according to the sheriff's office.

Anyone with information on Sprott's whereabouts is asked to call the
Cochise County Sheriff's Office at 520-432-9500.

On Wednesday evening, 40-year-old Kurt Zinke was arrested on burglary
charges in connection with the theft of more than 60 handguns from
the Mountain Trading Post on 7th Street in Sierra Vista.

Three more people have been arrested in connection to a New Year's
Day weapons burglary in Sierra Vista.

George Ysidro Sperle, 44, of Sierra Vista was arrested on suspicion
of burglary, theft, possession of stolen property and conspiracy,
said Carol Capas a spokeswoman for the Cochise County Sheriff's
Department in a news release. Jeremy Eric Valenzuela, 25, of Sierra
Vista was arrested on suspicion of theft, trafficking in stolen
property and four failure to appear warrants. Tombstone resident,
Blake Martinez, 19, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession
of burglary tools, theft and stolen property.

On New Year's Day, 63 weapons were stolen from the Mountain Trading
Post in Sierra Vista, 49 of which have since been recovered, the
release said.

The first person arrested, Kurt Zinke, 40, was apprehended Wednesday
evening, the release said.

Deputies are still looking for one more suspect, Michael Lloyd
Sprott, 30, who may be in Tucson, the release said.
