Reynosa operations

The Mexican military reported rescuing three abductees, killing three
gunmen, injuring three more and arresting 24 others during a string
of seizures from Sept. 10 to 16 in Reynosa.
During the operations, authorities seized three armored vehicles and
26 SUVs, eight tractor-trailers, one motorcycle and one all-terrain
vehicle.
The military also reported seizing 165 rifles, 49 pistols, 61
grenades, four grenade launchers and one rocket launcher.
Additionally, authorities seized nearly 48,000 ammunition rounds and
more than 720 ammunition magazines, as well as various tactical and
weapon-enhancement items.
In another seizure, they found 10 bulletproof vests, $108,810 in bulk
cash and 474,800 Mexican pesos.

The Ministry of National Defense through the Commander of Military
Region IV informs the public that personal reinforcement to 8 / a.
Military Zone, in the framework of the Comprehensive Strategy of the
Mexican state against Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime in the
operation "Northeast", at 0620 hours on 20 September this year, this
command troops territorial jurisdictions, to conduct ground surveys
in the town's War, Michael German Township, Tamps., observed two male
persons who, upon noticing the presence of military personnel ran
into a building and ran away from the rear, so the troops proceeded
to conduct a review to that house where located as follows:
- 19 rifles.

- 216 magazines for different weapons.
- 15.100 cartridges of different calibers.
Moreover, at 1400 hours the same day during ground surveys in the
village settlements, the municipality of Camargo, Tamps., Military
troops located on Calle Juarez, inside an abandoned building, a pit
with 326 packages of marijuana with Weighing approximately one ton
528 kilos 500 grams.
The drugs were made available to appropriate authorities.
These actions endorse a commitment to society that the armed forces
have acquired within the framework of "Operation Northeast" to
generate a climate of peace, trust and harmony in the population.

MONTERREY. Infantes de Marina aseguraron en el municipio de Colombia
a 19 personas, entre ellas siete menores de edad, en posesión de
cuatro armas largas, diversos cargadores para armas de fuego,
cartuchos útiles de diferentes calibres, un chaleco balístico, y
varias prendas de vestir tipo militar.
El aseguramiento se llevó a cabo en un rancho ubicado cerca de la
carretera Monterrey-Colombia cuando realizaban una operación aérea
con tres helicópteros Black Hawk. En la propiedad, los marinos
avistaron a un grupo de personas que realizaban movimientos sospechosos.
Al aproximarse las unidades se descubrió que se trataba de un
campamento de adiestramiento donde presuntamente se entrenaba a
integrantes del grupo delictivo Los Zetas. Quienes se encontraban en
ese momento en el predio trataron de huir al percatarse de la
presencia del personal naval.
Sin embargo, su intento resultó infructuoso debido a que los grupos
de intervención de la Infantería de Marina realizaron descenso por
soga rápida y lograron asegurar en el sitio a 19 personas.
Los detenidos fueron puestos a disposición de la Procuraduría General
de la República (PGR), junto con cuatro armas largas: tres carabinas
y un AK-47, 26 cargadores para arma de fuego, mil 457 cartuchos
útiles de diferentes calibres, un chaleco balístico y diversos
uniformes y botas tipo militar. Entre los detenidos también se puso a
disposición a tres mujeres y cuatro hombres menores de edad, cuyas
edades oscilan entre 13 y 17 años.
Aseguran arsenal en Sinaloa
Durante una supervisión terrestre en una presunta casa de seguridad
ubicada en la colonia Bugambilias de Culiacán, Sinaloa, el Ejército
aseguró cuatro fusiles automáticos, dos granadas de fragmentación,
mil 60 cartuchos, 29 cargadores y seis uniformes camuflados.
