PGR destroyed more than 10 thousand weapons in five months

Mexico City. In five months, the Attorney General's Office (PGR) destroyed 10,000 firearms throughout the country,
more than 114 tons of narcotics in solid form and 25,500 liters in liquid form.

When making a balance of the program " Bodegas Vacias", (empty warehouses) the delegate of the PGR in Baja California, Victorino Porcayo Dominguez,
explained that also were destroyed, from June to October, more than 111 tons of apocryphal material,
one thousand 100 slot machines, 1,700 land, air and sea vehicles, and more than eight million liters of hydrocarbon and 215 thousand liters of LP gas.

"The objectives set by Alberto Elías Beltrán, Deputy Attorney General and International Affairs were met: to reduce health and safety risks;
prevent criminal groups from recovering seized material; make more efficient use of infrastructure, free spaces in warehouses; and optimize economic and human resources ".

During the destruction of 12 tons of narcotics and 59 slot machines, in Tijuana, Porcayo Dominguez said that a transfer of two and a half tons of other goods
will be made to the Service of Administration and Disposal of Goods (SAE),
while the Secretariat of the National Defense will be transferred 1,250 firearms to be destroyed.

TIJUANA, Baja California (GH)
On Monday, the Attorney General's Office (PGR) spearheaded the destruction ceremony of narcotics, firearms and slot machines.

In total, more than two tons of goods, more than 50 slot machines and 12 tons of various drugs were destroyed.

The event was attended by the State Governor, Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, the Secretary of Public Security of the State,
Gerardo Sosa and the Attorney General of the State, Perla Ibarea Leyva.
