Before the federal court in Brooklyn, New York, where the trial against "El Chapo" takes place, the prosecution presented a gun secured from Joaquín Guzmán Loera.

It is a Colt.38 pistol, which has diamond inlays in black and white on the part of the stock, also has the initials "JGL". (.38 Super?)

During almost four hours, on his third day of testimony, Jesus "El Rey" Zambada reported several murders allegedly committed by "El Chapo", accused of trafficking more than 155 tons of cocaine to the United States for 25 years and that he can be sentenced to life imprisonment if found guilty.

"El Chapo," protected by 30 to 40 gunmen, used pistols, rifles such as AK-47s, bazookas and did not hesitate to kill when he deemed it necessary to protect the cartel's business and expand its power, according to the government's witness.

Zambada, 57, who has been under police custody since 2008 and imprisoned in the United States, is the first of several people who are cooperating with US authorities and are testifying against Guzman in the hope of getting a less harsh sentence.

He even revealed a plan to kill the Mexican anti-drug czar, Santiago Vasconcelos.
