Note: GAO report on DHS / Border Patrol problems in covering border
indian reservations. Recent reports indicate that the smugglers seem
to have little problem traversing the ( Papago/Tohono O'Odham )
reservation to reach I-8 and then to I-10, etc. It would also seem
to be little problem in traversing the Ak-Chin and Gila River
reservations.
It is suspected that some residents of the reservation are deeply
involved in the drug and human trafficking. With the potential to
seriously compromise border security operations. 30 pages.
