This is a collection of news about border issues, particularly those seen from Arizona and regarding the right to keep and bear arms. Sources often include Mexican media. It's often interesting to see how different the view is from the south.

AZMEX ACTIVITY 2-4-13
Note: Activity as it happened from 0000 25 Mar. to 2400 28 Mar. 2013 From AZ sources.
-- There were MANY, MANY groups being worked during this 24 hour period where the size of the group could not be determined.
-- Group of 80 near Nogales, AZ
-- Injured BP Agent -disposition unknown
-- 03/28/13 - 2300 - "Got-Away Zone" ??
-- High-Flyer Fixed Wing Aircraft to a helicopter (after detecting a group) - "... we were told by CAG (Casa Grand Operations) this is outside "the Zone"... we're not to work it.... so you can "disregard this group."
As per the discussions and financial planning, last week and earlier today, we are directed to begin schedules and planning for April 7 and beyond with a concept of operations that allows AOU compensation not to exceed a level of 20% in the aggregate. The deep non-pay cuts are also known and accepted as necessary to increase/preserve/strategically reduce mission capacity via patrol hours. B-1 has advised that a call with sectors to define the known risks in the projections is appropriate. Ops is looking at a PM teleconference with CPAs and DCPAs and equivalents to reinforce the guidance and clear any other known attributes and approval of our plans.
