AZMEX UPDATE 9 MAR 2017

Note: Unless we missed it, not a word in english language media. "AMLO" is Andrés Manuel López Obrador, former leftist (PRD) presidential candidate. As often stated, legal immigrants from anywhere don't need to cross the desert.

In a party atmosphere, hundreds of representatives of thousands of Mexican migrants in irregular condition, (illegal) met in this state capital with Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

This, in the room Las Tradiciones the afternoon of last Tuesday after touring in El Paso Texas. Also: Los Angeles, California; Chicago, Illinois and next week he is going to New York and later to Washington, San Francisco and Laredo to support Mexican migrants.

The president of the political party Movimiento de Regeneración Nacional (National Regeneration Movement) expressed "The desert that extends to the south of this city is unfortunately an immense cemetery. There have been thousands and thousands of Mexicans and Latin Americans who tried to cross it and who died of heat, thirst, cold or hunger.

"The desert has a natural aridity, but it is human cruelty that makes it mortal. Since President Bill Clinton ordered closed old border crossings such as Tijuana or El Paso, the migrants had no other route than to cross a desert full of dangers.

"The persecution of Donald Trump against the migrants is mere electoral demagoguery; Already served, it has to be recognized, to deceive and incite many American citizens with history, with the story that the Mexicans were taking away their jobs, and now intends to continue exploiting that lie to stay eight years in the White House " .

"But he knows full well that the economy of this country, the United States economy can not be sustained without migrant workers, because unfortunately the very low wages they receive are to a large extent the key to competitiveness in agriculture, industry and The US services facing competition from Asia and Europe. "

"The pretense of constructing a wall from ocean to ocean along the border line thus obeys this hypocritical logic. If it is erected, that wall will not stop the transit of workers from one country to another; It will simply make it more dangerous than it already is, and so it is clear that it is a criminal idea. "

"We reject the construction of the wall of hypocrisy and cruelty because we do not want more families separated or we want to accumulate more bones in the Arizona desert."

"We must link with the sectors of this great country, which also repudiate persecution against migrants, who repudiate oppressive and exclusionary fences."

A vehicle, a long gun, cartridges and magazines were recovered by members of the "Joint Operation" carried out by elements of the Mexican Army and agents of the Municipal and State Police, in Nogales.

These events were recorded at 5:59 pm yesterday when personnel from the armed forces noticed at Los Alamos and Jesús García Boulevard, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, badly parked, with the windows down and in apparent state of abandonment.

So the troops looked, locating inside the driver's side a carbine type firearm, being secured the area.

After searching the pickup cabin there was located a AK-47 gun 7.26 x39 caliber and a magazine carrier of the so-called "chest" with 8 magazines containing a total of 190 cartridges of the same caliber.

The pickup did not have license plates and it was established that when checked in the database of Plataforma Mexico, it showed a robbery report on October 12, 2016 in the State of Arizona.

So the vehicle, the weapon, cartridges and magazines were confiscated and made available to the Federal Public Ministry.
