Federal police ambushed in Jalisco; 6 injured, attacked with bullets and grenades

This is the second attack that the feds suffer in a week in the municipality of Tala, Jalisco.

Six federal agents were ambushed and wounded after being attacked by gunshots and with fragmentation grenades
at kilometer 34 of the Guadalajara-Ameca road section,
near Buena Vista, in the municipality of Tala, Jalisco.

According to the first reports, it is known that the attack occurred early this morning, when the federals were circulating in a convoy of three units
and were surprised with bullets and several grenades fired by civilians who were traveling aboard two trucks.

When faced with a numerical disadvantage, the federales requested support from the different police forces,
among them the Unified Force of Jalisco and police officers from the municipalities of San Martín, Ameca and Tala, among others.

One of the grenades fell on a patrol vehicle and it caught fire, so Zapopan firefighters came to the place to put out the fire.
Six federal elements were injured, two seriously due to the grenade splinters;
They were transferred to hospitals in the municipalities of the metropolitan area.

This is the second attack that the feds suffer in a week in this municipality of Tala.
The previous one occurred at the El Ruiseñor subdivision, where one element died when wounded
and the patrol vehicle hit a light pole, while another was wounded.
