Sentencing reset for 2 in Fast and Furious case

PHOENIX — New sentencing dates have been set for two men who admitted to participating in a gun smuggling ring that was monitored in the botched investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious.
Joshua David Moore's sentencing is set for Oct. 15.
Kenneth James Thompson will be sentenced Dec. 10.
Moore pleaded guilty to conspiracy and dealing guns without a license and faces up to 10 years in prison.
Prosecutors say Moore bought 141 guns for the ring.
Thompson pleaded guilty to conspiracy and faces up to five years in prison.
Authorities say Thompson helped transport 20 guns that were purchased by someone else.
Authorities have faced criticism for allowing suspected straw gun buyers to walk away from gun shops with weapons, rather than arrest the suspects and seize the guns there.
