Elements of the Regional Security Division of the Federal Police in the border area of the state of Sonora,
arrested a man with 24 high-powered long weapons, as well as more than 6,000 cartridges of different calibers and attachments for firearms.
It was at the Garita Puerta México- Dennis DeConcini, where the federal police executed random inspections of the vehicles entering the country,
an action that allowed them to observe the driver of a truck, who when noticing the presence of the uniformed police tried to dissuade them without success.
During the exchange of information, the driver of the unit called Alfonso 'N' and voluntarily agreed to a inspection of his vehicle by the elements of the Federal Police.
Inside the cargo area of the truck, Federal Police personnel located hidden between mats and boxes,
24 long weapons,
more than 6 thousand cartridges of different calibers,
114 magazines of different capacities,
in addition to accessories such as handles, mechanisms, rails for high power weapons, and kits for the arming and disarming of firearms,
the foregoing without the corresponding permits of their legal origin.
