Federal forces seized 118 kilos of methamphetamine inside sacks with the label of 'cleaning products and fertilizers'
that were transported in a tractor trailer truck in Sonora, so one person was stopped on a highway in the state.

The discovery of the banned substance is derived from collaborative work between elements of
the Secretariats of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) and of the National Defense in surveillance operations in the region.

After making a review on the Sonora-Arizona international highway, at kilometer 112 + 00, on the stretch Hermosillo-Santa Ana,
municipality of Opodepe, they located a cargo truck that had 15 sacks with a substance that did not match the products for cleaning.

Before a possible crime, the driver was arrested along with the packages with the drug and were available to the agent of the
Public Ministry of the Federation, where the corresponding investigations will be conducted to determine responsibilities,
and to verify the type and weight of the drug. .

NOGALES, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a military service member assigned to the Southwest Border Support Mission
has died in southern Arizona.

Officials at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado said in a statement that
the military service member was found dead Saturday near Nogales.

They say the incident is under investigation, but foul play isn't suspected.

The name and age of the military service member who died hasn't been released.

President Donald Trump assigned several thousand troops to the southwest border in recent months
to support the U.S. Border Patrol.
