Drone with grenades falls on the house of the Secretary of Public Safety of BC

A drone with two fragmentation grenades fell on one of the homes of the head of the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPEBC), Gerardo Sosa Olachea, in the city of Tecate.

It was early morning on Tuesday when agents of the State Preventive Police (PEP) who guard the home realized the fall of the object in the residence.

At the time of the inspection, they saw that the drone had two fragmentation grenades but were disabled, therefore no explosion.

Sosa Olachea was not in the property at the time of these events.

An SSPE spokesperson said that the Public Security secretary currently resides in Mexicali due to his duties.

In a statement, Sosa Olachea describes these actions as a result of the strategy against crime and the latest seizures of drugs, weapons and arrest of criminals.
