Arsenal left in Agua Prieta

More than 800 cartridges and seven firearms were recovered in an abandoned vehicle on this border, according to information from the Attorney General's Office (PGR).

Due to this, the Sonora delegation opened a folder of investigation for the crime of violation of the Firearms and Explosives Law and whatever may result, against whoever is responsible.

The seizure was carried out by elements of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), together with elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC).

At calle 10, avenida 10 in Agua Prieta, authorities located an abandoned vehicle with six long firearms; a short firearm and 28 magazines for firearm, rifle type.

Also, according to a statement from the Attorney General's Office,
818 cartridges of various sizes, four tactical vests and three military-style jackets were recovered.

Everything was made available to the agent of the Federal Public Ministry, who will continue with the integration of the corresponding investigation folder.
